Volunteering in Vietnam is a great opportunity to those who want to experience a new life in a peaceful, fascinating, friendly, and rapidly changing country and interested in learning Southeast Asian culture. Many westerners still imagine Vietnam through the lens of war, but in reality, it is a country with a unique and rich civilization filled with captivating natural beauty and tranquil village life as well as friendly people. Two decades have passed since Vietnam was officially united, and the country has to heal its wounds from war such as social problems, poverty, as well as health and disabled children issues. Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations, based in Hanoi, has expanded its activities for development of the country, so now it organizes projects for anyone interested in volunteering in Vietnam including those on a gap year, between semester, or on a career break.

Projects of UVVO are located in Hanoi and rural areas surrounding Hanoi. Volunteers have a lot of opportunities to work on a variety of projects, including care work with disabled children and medicine & healthcare work on hospitals and treatment centers, or work on farms. We also offer volunteer opportunities for teaching English in orphans, primary and secondary schools in Hanoi. Besides, if volunteers want to learn Vietnamese traditional culture, they can work in Vietnam traditional villages. After completing their volunteering in Vietnam, they can also receive a certificate of Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations for their outstanding contribution for activities in UNESCO Vietnam.
